Visualization and Numerical Geometry

The Numerical Geometry Group was one of the first research groups of the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing. It combines Mathematics with Computer Science. The data to be displayed come from numerical simulations as well as from measurements or databases. Visualization is often the key for communication with plenty of applications in the applied sciences, making use of the common human perception as well as human agreements on displaying things, facts or objects.
