15th - 17th October 2025 International Law Conclave : Dialogue of the Hemispheres

The initiative, International Law Conclave is being organised by Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law (IPR), Heidelberg University in cooperation with The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, India, The German Research Foundation (DFG) and The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). 

The initiative is led by Jurist Prof. Dr. Marc-Philippe Weller, Vice- President for International Affairs and Diversity and Director of the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws, and International Business Law, Heidelberg University and Prof. Dr. Shrikrishna Deva Rao, Hon. Vice Chancellor, NALSAR University of Law. The event is co-convened by Prof. Dr. Anton Zimmermann, Junior Professorship for Civil Law and International Private and Procedural Law, Heidelberg University and Prof. Eluckiaa Asaithambi, Assistant Professor of Law NALSAR University of Law. 

The event brings together researchers and practitioners from countries of the Global North and South, India and Germany in particular. The conference will have two parts: A postdoctoral symposium and a senior researchers conference (Law Professors Meet).
